Who We Are
We are a group of modern Orthodox day schools and yeshiva high schools that recognize:
- the importance of excellence in both Torah and general studies;
- the preeminence of moral virtue and ethical integrity in personal, business and professional life;
- the equal educational needs of boys and girls, young men and women;
- the centrality of the State of Israel to the religious and national existence of the Jewish people;
- the inherent value of all segments of the Jewish community and the need to work with them to address mutual concerns.
We are a partnership of lay and professional leaders committed to the above principles and striving for ongoing school growth and improvement. Our goal is to work with member schools with their lay and professional leadership, faculties and parent bodies in promoting the quest for excellence in both Jewish and general studies. We emphasize principles emerging from the research on effective schools and essential schools and translate them into the terms of reference of Jewish day schools. Our vocabulary includes such terms as leadership, strategic planning, goal-setting, standards and assessment, and school climate, emphasizing school-based activities that address the needs of all constituencies: student, parent, faculty and administration.
